Manly Sea Life Sanctuary
During Term 2, Year 2 have been learning about the sea and the creatures who live in this environment. On Thursday 11th June we visited the aquarium at Manly. We went to the penguin area on the top level
and we could see the nesting box on a special screen. Next we went to the middle level where there were lots of different tanks with fish, seahorses, coral and even a touch pool. On the bottom level was an under water tunnel where huge sharks and sting rays swam over the top of us. We had an awesome day!
Making Peg Cars
Year 2 have been learning about Transport during Term One. We have looked at many different types of transport that travel in the air, on land and in water. During Week 6 we learnt about how an axle and a wheel work together to help vehicles move. We then made our own peg cars.
Harmony Day
On Wednesday 18th March our school celebrated Harmony Day and we all wore orange clothes. We talked about the different countries our families come from and how we are all different. We discussed how it feels to belong and be accepted.
