HPS has an in-school sports program, which concentrates on skill development and physical fitness across all years.
HPS holds annual carnivals for Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming.
HPS enters teams in the Liverpool Zone Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) competitions, for summer and winter sports.
Summer PSSA competes on Friday mornings in Terms 1 and 4. Summer PSSA sports include AFL, Cricket, OzTag and Softball.
Winter PSSA competes on Friday afternoons in Terms 2 and 3. Winter PSSA sports include Netball, Rugby League and Soccer.
