In 2M we have had a wonderful start to 2016. We voted and chose our SRC representatives for our class this year. Congratulations to Emily and Justin! We know you will do a great job.

SWIM SCHEME 2016

We participated in Swim Scheme at the Whitlam Centre from the 29th February to the 11th March. We had great weather and learnt lots of new skills. We also learnt many things which will keep us safe in and around water. We hope you enjoy our photos.

SCIENCE: Growing Broad Beans

During Term One we learnt about the many changes that take place in the world around us. We planted broad bean seeds, watered them, kept them on the windowsill and watched them grow. When they had outgrown the plastic cups we planted them in the garden next to the canteen. We are now waiting to see if we get any beans!

EASTER HAT PARADE

We finished Term One with the K-2 Easter Hat Parade. We had lots of fun making our hats in class and even learnt a song and dance for the parade.

IPADS

2M have been very excited about using the new I pads in our classroom. We are able to use them each week in reading groups to help us with the alphabet, spelling high frequency words, reading stories and creating stories. During Term 2 we are learning about animals that live in our school playground for Science. Today we found labelled drawings of ants to do into our books.

SCIENCE TERM 2: SCHOOLYARD SAFARI

At the end of Term 2, 2M did a 'Design and Make' project. They designed a creature and made it out of modelling clay and then designed a habitat for their creature. Everyone enjoyed going out into the playground to find things to create their habitats.

TERM 3 GYM

We are doing Tri Skills Gymnastics for sport during Term 3 and we love it!

K-2 ATHLETICS

On Friday 22nd July we had our K-2 Athletics. We rotated around lots of different activities such as sprints, hurdles, high jump, long jump, javelin, shot put and an obstacle course.
