Our vision: At Hammondville Public School, we believe in the transformative power of human connection to engage our school community in a learning culture where everyone belongs and diversity is celebrated. Our purpose is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, dispositions and understandings necessary to empower them to become curious, confident and engaged learners, demonstrating perseverance and resilience.
Established in 1933, Hammondville Public School proudly continues its legacy as part of the NSW Department of Education, offering tailored learning experiences for our 450 students. Located on expansive, leafy grounds 36.4 km southwest of Sydney and 4.7 km from Liverpool, we provide a diverse curriculum and actively engage our community as partners in education.
Our student population is diverse, with a growing number of students from language backgrounds other than English and a proud representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Additionally, a growing population of our student body comes from Defence Force families due to our proximity to the Holsworthy Army Base.
Our expert teaching team continuously evaluates teaching and learning practices to ensure they meet the needs of all students. This commitment to evidence-informed practice fosters an engaging and dynamic learning environment that challenges and supports each child.
In 2024, we opened our support classes, Ngarala, which means "Learning Together" in the Dharug language. This initiative underscores our dedication to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for students on the autism spectrum. Ngarala comprises three dedicated classes, staffed by highly skilled professionals passionate about providing responsive holistic programs to meet our students' individual needs.
